Videos in the Security Training Center® Learning Management System
We receive occasional technical support questions regarding videos in the learning management system. 99.9% of the time the problem is not with the system, but the understanding of the video interface by the student. This FAQ explains the video interface components.
The slide has two timers and they are independent of one another. One (1) is the slide timer. The second (2) is the video timer.
Video Interface Components

Item 1 from the screenshot is the slide timer. This timer must complete (go all the way to the end) to move to the next slide. It is set to go a little longer than the video itself.
This slider cannot be advanced, reversed, or skipped. It can only be paused and started. This is by design.
A countdown will appear on the right side of the sceeen when about 30-seconds remain on the slide timer.

Item 2 from the screenshot is the video timer. The video is controlled independently from the slide. The video can be stopped, reversed, and advanced. This allows the student to review the material.
The video timer has no (zero) affect on when the slide will adavance.
NOTES
- If the slide timer does not complete, the next time the video slide is loaded it will start back at the very begining.
- If you use a mobile device to take the training, hold the device horizontally (landscape).
